These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Flair Security's services. Please read these Terms carefully before engaging our services. By using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Definitions and Interpretation
In these Terms:
- "Company", "we", "us", "our" refers to Flair Security, a security services provider operating in the United Kingdom.
- "Client", "you", "your" refers to the individual or entity engaging our services.
- "Services" refers to all security services provided by Flair Security, including but not limited to door supervision, event security, retail security, corporate security, and subcontracting services.
- "SIA" refers to the Security Industry Authority, the statutory body responsible for regulating the private security industry in the United Kingdom.
- "Service Agreement" refers to the written agreement between the Company and the Client specifying the terms of service provision.
2. Agreement to Terms
By engaging Flair Security's services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our services. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Flair Security under English law.
3. Services Provided
Flair Security provides professional SIA licensed security services throughout the United Kingdom, including:
- Door supervision services for licensed premises, venues, clubs, and bars
- Event security services for concerts, festivals, conferences, and private events
- Retail security services for shops, shopping centres, and commercial premises
- Corporate security services for offices, business premises, and corporate events
- Industrial security services for warehouses, factories, and distribution centres
- Subcontracting services for other security companies
All security personnel provided by Flair Security are required to hold valid SIA licences appropriate to their role, in accordance with the Private Security Industry Act 2001 and SIA licensing requirements. We maintain comprehensive insurance coverage as required by UK law.
4. Service Agreements and Quotations
All service bookings must be confirmed in writing through a Service Agreement or written confirmation. Quotations provided by Flair Security are valid for 30 days from the date of issue, unless otherwise stated. The Service Agreement will specify the scope of services, duration, location, number of security personnel, rates, payment terms, and any special requirements. Any variations to the Service Agreement must be agreed in writing by both parties.
5. Payment Terms
Payment terms will be specified in your Service Agreement. Unless otherwise agreed:
- Payment is due within 30 days of invoice date for ongoing services
- For one-off events, payment may be required in advance or upon completion as specified in the Service Agreement
- Late payments may incur interest charges at a rate of 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate, in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate services for non-payment
- All prices are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated. VAT will be charged at the applicable rate
6. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation terms will be specified in your Service Agreement. Generally:
- Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the service start time may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 25% of the total service cost
- Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the service start time may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the total service cost
- Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the service start time may be subject to the full service charge
- In the event of cancellation by Flair Security due to circumstances beyond our control, we will provide a full refund or offer alternative arrangements
- Refunds, where applicable, will be processed within 14 working days
7. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for:
- Providing accurate and complete information about security requirements, venue details, expected attendance, and any specific risks or concerns
- Ensuring that the premises where services are to be provided comply with all relevant health and safety regulations, fire safety requirements, and licensing conditions
- Obtaining and maintaining all necessary licences, permits, and permissions required for the event or premises
- Providing adequate facilities for security personnel, including access to rest areas, toilet facilities, and refreshments where appropriate
- Informing Flair Security immediately of any changes to the service requirements, venue, or event details
- Ensuring that all relevant staff and stakeholders are aware of the security arrangements
- Complying with all applicable laws and regulations relating to the event or premises
8. Our Obligations
Flair Security undertakes to:
- Provide SIA licensed security personnel appropriate to the service requirements
- Ensure all security personnel are properly trained, uniformed, and equipped
- Maintain appropriate levels of professional indemnity and public liability insurance
- Provide services in accordance with industry best practices and SIA standards
- Respond promptly to any concerns or issues raised by the Client
- Maintain confidentiality regarding Client information and business operations
9. Limitation of Liability
Whilst Flair Security provides professional security services with due care and skill, our liability is limited as follows:
- Our total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total value of fees paid by the Client for the specific service in question
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or special damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of business, or loss of reputation
- We maintain appropriate insurance coverage as required by UK law, including public liability insurance and employers' liability insurance
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law
- Our security personnel are trained to prevent incidents where possible, but cannot guarantee that incidents will not occur
10. Force Majeure
Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performing obligations under these Terms if such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, industrial action, government action, pandemic, or other events of force majeure. In such circumstances, the affected party shall notify the other party as soon as reasonably practicable and use reasonable endeavours to mitigate the effects of such circumstances.
11. Data Protection and Privacy
Flair Security processes personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information about how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. By engaging our services, you consent to the processing of your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
12. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in materials, reports, documentation, and other materials created by Flair Security in the course of providing services remain the property of Flair Security, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Clients may use such materials for their internal business purposes only and may not reproduce, distribute, or use such materials for any other purpose without our prior written consent.
13. Confidentiality
Both parties agree to maintain the confidentiality of any confidential information disclosed during the course of the service provision. This obligation shall continue after the termination of the service agreement. Confidential information includes, but is not limited to, business plans, financial information, client lists, and operational procedures.
14. Termination
Either party may terminate a Service Agreement:
- By giving written notice as specified in the Service Agreement
- Immediately if the other party breaches a material term of the agreement and fails to remedy such breach within 14 days of written notice
- Immediately if the other party becomes insolvent, enters administration, or is wound up
- For ongoing services, termination may be subject to a notice period as specified in the Service Agreement
Upon termination, all outstanding fees shall become immediately due and payable. Termination does not affect any rights or obligations that have accrued prior to termination.
15. Complaints and Dispute Resolution

In the event of any dispute arising from these Terms or our services:
- The parties shall first attempt to resolve the dispute through good faith negotiations
- If negotiations are unsuccessful, the parties may agree to mediation through a mutually acceptable mediator
- Any legal proceedings shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales
- These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law
16. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Material changes will be notified to existing clients in writing. Continued use of our services after such notification constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. These Terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.
17. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by any court of competent jurisdiction, such provision shall be severed from these Terms and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
18. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with any Service Agreement, constitute the entire agreement between you and Flair Security regarding the provision of security services and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, or representations, whether oral or written.
19. Third Party Rights
These Terms are between you and Flair Security. No third party shall have any rights to enforce any provision of these Terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999, except where expressly stated otherwise.
